The NFL combine is underway in Indianapolis, where we have already seen prospects talking with the media and have either or will be showing their abilities in various drills. The Buffalo Bills are doing their scouting and evaluations and they have to have a strong draft class that will start with the No. 26 overall selection.
There are different routes that the Bills can take. Maybe they package it into a trade for a proven veteran, maybe they trade up or down from it. Either way, they are set to start their draft at that pick with a new head coach in Joe Brady.
If you look at most mock drafts, the Bills are picked to select a wide receiver and one of the prospects is KC Concepcion out of Texas A&M. With the Bills needing a dynamic playmaker on the outside for Josh Allen, Concepcion would be a perfect fit because of his ability to get open and the speed that he provides.
After transferring from NC State to Texas A&M, Concepcion had 919 yards and 9 touchdowns with the Aggies where he averaged over 15 yards per reception. He had four games of averaging more than 20 yards per catch, including against South Carolina where he had 7 catches for 158 yards, averaging over 22 yards per catch. Seems like enough for the Bills to seriosuly consider drafting Concepcion, right?
Earlier today, Concepcion talked with the media and he gave the Bills another reason why Buffalo should not overlook him in the draft.
KC Concepcion gives Bills another reason why he is perfect fit for Buffalo
According to Maddy Glab, Concepcion said that he has been watching the Bills since he was young because “his dad’s favorite team is the Bills”. Glab also mentioned that Concepcion was born in Rochester, and he said “Josh Allen is the best QB in the league and would be grateful to play with him.”

So, not only does Concepcion have the talent to pair well with Allen, but he knows exactly what the Bills are about and he says that Allen is the best quarterback in the game. He’s giving a lot of reasons why the Bills should not overthink the No. 26 pick. If the Bills still have that pick and Concepcion is still available, it should be a no-brainer for Brandon Beane and his staff.
You get a dynamic playmaker who can stretch the field, and knows what Buffalo football is all about. In addition, Concepcion gets to join an immediate contender and have the chance to catch passes from Josh Allen. It’s a win-win for both sides.
