Despite their loss against the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football, there were some fantastic performances by the Bills. Here are four standout players from last night's loss for the Bills.

4 players who shined in Week 5 despite bad loss vs. Patriots

1. Dalton Kincaid

Buffalo's tight end was their leading receiver against the Patriots. He was incredibly effective, securing six receptions for 108 yards. He averaged 18 yards per reception and was a major bright spot in a Buffalo offense that was mostly dormant until the fourth quarter.

Kincaid continues to look like one of the best young tight ends in the league. After finishing last year with 448 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games, he is on pace to crush his career-high totals in yards, receptions, and touchdowns.

2. Curtis Samuel

Samuel may not have gone for many yards against New England, but he did catch a touchdown pass and was a big reason why Buffalo was able to get back into the game. He also put together a solid game from the return position. He went for 84 yards on three kick returns, averaging 28 yards-per-return. As a receiver, he caught two passes for 26 yards and a crucial touchdown in the fourth quarter.

3. Shaq Thompson

Shaq Thompson contributed four tackles, forced a fumble, and earned a sack on Drake Maye. Maye played mostly well against the Bills, except when Buffalo was able to generate pressure. Thompson was a big part of that when it happened. It was the first sack and forced fumble of the year for the 11-year veteran.

4. Greg Rousseau

Rousseau recorded his first full sack of the season against Maye and recorded five tackles, a season high. The 25-year-old had his best game of the early season, and was a big reason Buffalo's defense was able to keep the game within reach.
