The Buffalo Bills are back in Orchard Park for a Week 4 matchup against the New Orleans Saints and quite frankly, this could go one of two ways; the Bills could run up the score on the Saints or it could become a huge trap game for Buffalo. While a lot of people are expecting the Bills to move to 4-0, the Bills still have to show up prepared.
New Orleans is coming into Buffalo at 0-3, and are looking to bounce back from a disastrous performance against the Seahawks in Week 3. They don’t have the talent that Buffalo has, and there is a coaching advantage that Buffalo has as well. However, we have seen upsets all the time and the Bills have to avoid being the next one.
4 bold predictions for Bills vs. Saints in Week 4
James Cook gets 3 total touchdowns
Through the first three games, James Cook is proving to the doubters that he was worth the extension that he got prior to the season. He’s got 284 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground, and that includes rushing for 100+ yards in the last two games. Cook is averaging over five yards per carry and he could run wild against this Saints defense.
Not to mention, Cook can set a franchise record by rushing for a touchdown in his eighth consecutive regular season.
Bills defense holds Saints to no more than 150 total yards
This might be the most bold prediction, but the Bills’ defense showed in Week 2 that it could be possible. They held the Jets to just 154 total yards and the Jets have more talent on their offense than the Saints have on theirs. Buffalo’s defense needs to have a bounce back game from a bit of a disappointing outing against the Dolphins.
Dawson Knox leads Bills in receiving touchdowns
There are times when Dawson Knox steps up as the No. 2 go-to guy for Josh Allen, especially in the redzone. However, he has yet to get into the endzone this season but if the Bills get into the redzone, this is a perfect chance for Knox to not only get in the endzone but be the leader of the entire receiving core.
Buffalo doesn’t give up a score until 4th quarter
Going back to the second bold prediction, if the Bills defense shows up and makes a statement, there is a great chance that the Saints don’t get onto the board until the 4th quarter, if at all. I’m not saying that the Saints aren’t capable of scoring because they can, but the Bills defense has something to prove and because of the mismatch, this is a great opportunity to keep the Saints away from the endzone.
