The Buffalo Bills will take the field next month at St. John Fisher University for training camp and before you know it, they will be running out of the tunnel at Highmark Stadium for the last time before moving across the street for the new stadium. This season is going to be electrifying for the Bills and Bills Mafia.

We have training camp coming up, then the preseason, and then the regular season will be here before we know it. Throughout training camp, this is a time for the coaching staff to evaluate players to see if they will be starters, backups, or even on the roster at all. There are three players that are being somewhat overlooked going into training camp, but just might shock everyone for the better in Buffalo.

3 Bills players who getting overlooked heading into training camp

RB Ray Davis

With all of the James Cook contract drama still going on, there is a very good chance that Ray Davis could be the Bills’ starter in the backfield in 2026. However, Cook is planning to be at training camp next month after showing up to mandatory minicamp. While Cook will still be the starter heading into this season, Davis has a fantastic shot to show that he can easily be Buffalo’s leading back going into next season with a strong training camp performance.

DE Landon Jackson

It still shocks me that the Bills were able to steal Landon Jackson in the third round out of Arkansas. He has a motor on him and quite frankly, he could put someone like A.J. Epenesa on the roster bubble throughout training camp. The Bills have penciled in their starters with Greg Rousseau and Joey Bosa. However, Jackson could be a player that Bills fans talk about more and more throughout training camp based on how much he makes an impact.

S Cole Bishop

For some reason, the Bills’ biggest weakness in the eyes of the public is their secondary (specifically at safety). Yes, I know that Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer are no longer in Buffalo but the Bills’ secondary did just fine last season considering the revamped roster. Taylor Rapp was a steal in free agency for the Bills and Damar Hamlin stepped up big time in critical moments.

However, the Bills drafted safety Cole Bishop in the second round of last year’s draft and once he got back to full strength from an early training camp injury, he showed signs of being a promising player for the Bills moving forward. He has had a full year in the system under Bobby Babich and having Sean McDermott to learn from, Bishop could easily take the next step forward in his career.
