Michael Brockers

Another defensive tackle who was recently traded but was released this offseason is Michael Brockers. He was traded by the Los Angeles Rams prior to the 2021 season but was released this offseason by the Lions to create some much-needed cap space.

Brockers has played in 160 games over 11 seasons with 157 starts between his time with the Rams and Lions. In total, he has 29 sacks, 52 tackles for a loss, and 64 QB hits however his production significantly dipped during his time with the Lions.

In two seasons, Brockers would have only one sack, four tackles for a loss, and two QB hits and even be benched midway through last season. He probably is not the top choice among the three defensive tackles listed here but at this point of the offseason the options are pretty.

Brockers is a good locker room player, even being named captain last season by the Lions, and similar to Harris the coaching staff might believe he could bounce back with more talent around him on this defense.
