Safety

One of the big wins in free agency for the Buffalo Bills was the return of Jordan Poyer, who appeared likely to leave this offseason but returned on a two-year deal. He will now return to the starting lineup alongside Micah Hyde and should give Buffalo one more year of having a top tier safety duo in the NFL.

In addition, the Buffalo Bills reportedly also signed Taylor Rapp to a one-year contract, who is a former second round pick and has started a number of games over his career with the Los Angeles Rams. The hope would be that Damar Hamlin is able to return next season and could round out the safety position.

However, the front office could consider adding another safety with some uncertainty entering the season and then past 2023. Damar Hamlin is a big question at this point as well as Micah Hyde is returning from a serious neck injury and is only under contract through the 2023 season.

If the Buffalo Bills were to add a safety, it probably would in one of the final rounds but a little more depth at the position could make sense.
