Buffalo Bills Mock Draft: Giving Josh Allen everything he needs
By Ryan Heckman
For the first time in this mock, the Bills go to the defensive side of the ball by dragging TCU cornerback Tre’Viud Hodges-Tomlinson.
Buffalo has some pretty talented corners in their room already, with one of the best in the game, Tre’Davious White, leading the way. They also invested a first rounder last year when they drafted Florida’s Kaiir Elam.
Last year, though, White was out for a while due to injury and Elam was up and down as a rookie. It’s clear the Bills need improved depth, here, and Hodges-Tomlinson gives them just that.
At a smaller 5-foot-8, he fits best at nickel. But, don’t let the size fool you. He is one of the best athletes in this class. Running a 4.41 and posting a ridiculous 11-foot broad jump, Hodges-Tomlinson is a sight to behold, physically.
He has the shifty footwork to keep up with the quicker slot receivers and isn’t easily left in the dust. He’s also a physical player, unafraid of laying the wood if he has to.
Buffalo adds yet another young corner to this room and should have a more well-rounded, versatile group going into this coming season.
