Buffalo Bills likely explore trading Gabe Davis

The Buffalo Bills certainly don’t have to trade Gabe Davis if they were to sign Odell Beckham Jr. because they could keep Davis on the outside and move OBJ inside to the slot. However, with Odell Beckham Jr. on the roster, general manager Brandon Beane should at least explore the potential of trading him this offseason.

If the Bills were to add Odell Beckham Jr., it would likely be a multi-year deal that gives Buffalo two veteran receivers for the next few seasons. This would probably eliminate the chance for the Bills to re-sign Gabe Davis, who is set to be a free agent after this season.

The fact that it would be unlikely to bring back Davis, it would make sense for the front office to look to acquire some draft capital instead of let him leave in free agency next offseason. A team like the New York Giants would certainly make sense with the connection Brian Daboll has with the team.
