With an end to a 2022 NFL season that was much less than desired, there was a belief that Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills could be on bad terms.

There was a clip of Diggs throwing his hands up at Josh Allen following the end of their game against the Bengals in the AFC Divisional round, and once that was noticed by a few people online, the fire erupted.

Now, Josh Allen was clearly battling an injury in the elbow of his throwing arm that clearly hindered Allen’s performance. And seemingly the longer they went into the playoffs, the worse his play was due to that elbow.

Because of that, he wasn’t able to throw the same, and that impacted Stefon Diggs, as well as the Buffalo Bills’ chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Not only that, but Stefon Diggs is a player who wears his emotions on his sleeves.

When things are going well, Stefon Diggs is very happy. However, on the flip side, Stefon Diggs makes it evident when things aren’t going well, as was evident after the Bills’ loss to the Bengals— both online and on the field.

The Buffalo Bills need a receiver to help boost Stefon Diggs’ performance

And while there’s a narrative that the Buffalo Bills’ window has closed, that’s not the case if some holes get filled.

One of those holes would be getting a receiver to go alongside Stefon Diggs.

That’s not because Stefon Diggs needs someone else, but when a QB/WR duo is as effective as the Josh Allen/Stefon Diggs duo is, defenses will do whatever they can to stop that.

If opposing teams just zone in on Stefon Diggs, it will force Josh Allen to throw to receivers who aren’t in the same tier as Diggs. It’s a reason why the Bengals are able to have such success through the air.

Joe Burrow is able to pick defenses apart because he has three receivers that are all somewhat similar in the sense that they’re all incredibly talented.

And that’s not to take away from guys like Gabe Davis and Khalil Shakir, but there’s a clear difference between Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, and Khalil Shakir.

So, if the Buffalo Bills want to remain relevant, at least offensively, there are a handful of receivers in this draft that can be the secret remedy that Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and the Buffalo Bills could use on their team.
