Free agent the Buffalo Bills should avoid: Miles Sanders

Miles Sanders is another free agent running back that should have plenty of interested teams but the Buffalo Bills shouldn’t be one of them. Sanders was a second round pick in 2019 and in his first three seasons, he seemed to always have the potential but the production didn’t align as he averaged 813 rushing yards per season and only nine total rushing touchdowns.

This past season was a different story as Miles Sanders had a breakout season with 1,269 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns as he earned his first Pro Bowl nomination. He was a big part of the Eagles’ offense over the course of the season that culminated in a Super Bowl appearance.

The concern with Miles Sanders is that the Eagles had one of the best offensive lines in the league blocking in front of him. With how dynamic the offense was with Jalen Hurts under center and A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith out wide, defenses weren’t able to focus on one aspect of the offense and it made Sanders’ job much easier and the production followed.

The Buffalo Bills also will be looking for more of a physical running back and this isn’t necessarily Miles Sanders skillset so it would make sense to pass on the Eagles’ running back.
