Benson Mayowa

Benson Mayowa entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013 and has had stops with the Seattle Seahawks, Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, and Arizona Cardinals over his nine-year career. Over his career, he has been asked to play both defensive end in 4-3 defenses and also outside linebacker in 3-4 defensive formations.

Mayowa was released last offseason by the Seattle Seahawks and hasn’t played a game yet this season.

He has typically been a rotation player as he has 115 career games but only 31 career starts and has played over 60% of a team’s defensive snaps once in his career (2020). However, has shown to be an effective pass rusher with limited snaps as he has had six or more sacks in three seasons.

If the Buffalo Bills were to add Benson Mayowa he likely would just be a depth signing and the last player in the rotation. However, his experience in the league and the versatility he has could be something that could help this defense at the position.
