Tyler Bass shows off the leg against the Browns
One player who really benefited from today’s game being moved from Highmark Stadium to Ford Field was Tyler Bass. The fact that the game was played inside a dome where the weather was not a factor allowed him to really show off the leg and account for 16 of the 28 points the Bills had today.
Bass would finish the day with six field goals made and one extra point made and the field goal attempts were not guaranteed by any means. The field goal lengths by Bass were 42 yards, 36, 56, 49, 28, and 39. The 56-yard field goal was the longest of the season for Bass.
The fact that the Buffalo Bills have a kicker like Tyler Bass is such an advantage because it shortens the field for the offense to get within field goal range. He is unlikely to be able to make these kicks at Highmark Stadium when the wind starts to pick up but for today’s game, he was able to put on a show.
