The Buffalo Bills have now lost two in a row but in both games, there has been plenty of examples of how this team refuses to quit until the final play.
In today’s game, the Bills were up 27-10 in the third quarter but the Vikings came back and made it a game in the fourth quarter. The Vikings found themselves in a 4th and 1 and the Bills defense responded by stopping Kirk Cousins on a quarterback sneak.
The very next play was the fumble by Josh Allen that gave the Vikings the lead with only 41 seconds left. The Bills refused to stop and would drive down the field and Tyler Bass would connect on a game-tying field goal that sent it to overtime.
In overtime, the Vikings got the ball first and drove it all the way down to inside the five-yard line. However, Matt Milano came up with a big tackle for a loss on first down, and then Ed Oliver came up with a big sack on second down that ultimately resulted in the Vikings settling for a field goal.
Would it be great for the Buffalo Bills to make some plays earlier in the game or drive that didn’t allow them to get in these positions? Absolutely. However, there is something to be said about the fight they have shown when their back has been against the wall and that is something that should help them as the regular season continues.
