Gabe Davis

This season was expected to be a career year for Gabe Davis after two promising years with the Buffalo Bills as a backup wide receiver. He entered this year as the clear starter opposite Stefon Diggs and had a great start to the season with 88 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Rams.

However, Davis suffered an ankle injury during practice prior to Week 2 and after missing one game returned for the game against the Miami Dolphins. In that game and the next one against the Baltimore Ravens he didn’t make the same impact.

That may have been due to the ankle injury lingering into those games but against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he looked fully recovered. He would catch a 98-yard touchdown on the third play of the game and then pull in a one-handed catch for a 61-yard touchdown.

As evident in Week 5, the Bills’ offense is at its best when Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis are at their best because it opens up so much for this team.
