The Buffalo Bills special teams also had an inconsistent game as Tyler Bass missed a field goal attempt, his second in three weeks. The Bills also had some issues in the return game as Khalil Shakir and Taiwan Jones replaced Jamison Crowder and Isaiah McKenzie.
The inexperienced showed, like the two-yard return by Jones on the opening kickoff, but fortunately it didn’t result in points for Pittsburgh.

Entering this game, it was not expected to be very competitive and that certainly was the case. However, it was hard to imagine the game playing out the way it did as the Buffalo Bills would take a 31-3 lead into halftime and the game appeared to be over well before that.
The offense, and particularly Josh Allen, seemed to move the ball with ease and by building an early lead was able to give starters some much-needed rest. The Bills did what they needed to do and the focus now turns to the biggest game of the season when they travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs.
