5 takeaways for the Buffalo Bills from their Week 5 win over the Steelers
Record-setting day for Josh Allen
It was an impressive performance for Josh Allen and it was a day where he seemed to set a record or milestone every time he stepped on the field. He tied the franchise record for the longest-passing play with his 98-yard pass to Gabe Davis.
On that same play, he moved past Peyton Manning for the fourth most total touchdowns in a player’s first five years.
However, he wasn’t done there and for the first time in his career threw for over 300 passing yards in the first half as well as threw four touchdowns in the first two quarters.
While he didn’t throw any more touchdowns in the second half, he would add to his passing yard total. The 424 passing yards were the most ever for a Buffalo Bills quarterback in a regulation game. The current record, 463 yards set by Drew Bledsoe, occurred in an overtime game.
It seems every week Josh Allen can’t outdo himself and somehow finds a way to do so.
