The final position is middle linebacker and this has the greatest uncertainty, both surrounding the starter as well as who might replace him.

The Bills’ starter, Tremaine Edmunds, has not practiced at all this week due to a hamstring injury. While the team did list him as questionable, it seems unlikely that he will play as the team typically errs on the side of caution. If a player doesn’t practice at all that week, he doesn’t usually play.

If Edmunds is not able to play, the Buffalo Bills don’t necessarily have a clear backup but it should be either Tyrel Dodson or rookie Terrel Bernard. I would lean towards the veteran getting the start this week but it wouldn’t be surprising to see the rookie be rotated in during the course of the game.

In his career, Dodson has primarily been a special teams player but did have two starts in 2020, and in those games combined for 15 total tackles and two passes defended.
