3 Buffalo Bills who could replace wide receiver Jamison Crowder
Khalil Shakir
The final player is the one who likely has the best chance to replace Jamison Crowder and that is rookie Khalil Shakir. The Bills fifth round draft pick looked excellent during the preseason and made the team’s 53-man roster to begin the season.
However, Shakir was inactive for two of the first four games and the two games he was active was due to the team dealing with injuries at the position. This past week against the Ravens, Shakir was active with the team already missing Jake Kumerow and him being available was fortunate because Crowder and Isaiah McKenzie both left the game with injuries.
He would finish the game playing 25% of the snaps and had two receptions for 23 yards, including a key reception on the Buffalo Bills’ final drive.
While he has been inactive at times this year, he also was listed as the starting punt returner so the coaching staff did have confidence in him in this part of the game. This could be a great opportunity for the rookie in the early part of the season to make an impact in multiple ways for the Buffalo Bills.
