Shaq Lawson

If the Buffalo Bills slide Boogie Basham inside more frequently, it can create some opportunities for a player like Shaq Lawson to get on the field.

The Buffalo Bills brought Lawson back this offseason after two seasons with other teams but he hasn’t made the same impact as Jordan Phillips during his second stint with the team. The former first round pick was inactive last week against the Los Angeles Rams but this would be the perfect game to have him on the field, even if the Bills weren’t dealing with injuries.

Lawson is an excellent run defender off the edge and if the focus is containing Derrick Henry, the Bills would want a player like Shaq Lawson on the field.

If the Buffalo Bills move Boogie Basham inside and let him focus on rushing from the interior, this could create snaps for Lawson at defensive end. This would probably be the best rotation for the Buffalo Bills to help minimize the absence of Ed Oliver and match up best against the run-heavy offensive of the Tennessee Titans.
