Buffalo Bills Player to Watch: Tremaine Edmunds

There are not many players who match the size and athleticism of Derrick Henry in the NFL but linebacker Tremaine Edmunds may be one of the few. The Bills starting linebacker is 6’5″ and 250 pounds but has good speed to move sideline to sideline and close on ball carriers.

This is a contract year for Edmunds and he is off to a great start with 10 tackles in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams. He looked quicker to the ball carrier and limited the yards the Rams were able to pick up.

It remains to be seen if this is just an improvement of play recognition by Edmunds as he enters his fifth year as a starting linebacker or the improvements made on the defensive line with additions like DaQuan Jones.

I would imagine it is a combination of the two but regardless of the exact reason, if the Bills are successful in slowing down Derrick Henry it will likely be due to the performance of Tremaine Edmunds.
