Buffalo Bills Player to Watch: Dawson Knox

One player who didn’t have many opportunities against the Los Angeles Rams was tight end Dawson Knox. After signing a multi-year extension, Knox would have only one reception for five yards but also only be targeted twice.

It might not get any easier this week for tight end Dawson Knox as the Tennessee Titans have two good safeties in Kevin Byard and Amani Hooker that likely will be covering Knox. In their matchup last year, Knox had only three receptions for 25 yards but did leave the game early due to a broken hand.

One area where Dawson Knox became more involved in this offense over the course of last season was in the red zone. He was a big target for Josh Allen and was someone he looked to often in that part of the field. The Bills took two trips to the red zone in Week 1 but in those five plays, it was two runs by Josh Allen, two targets to Stefon Diggs, and one pass to Devin Singletary.

If the Buffalo Bills get in the red zone this week against the Titans, I expect that Dawson Knox will be a little more involved.
