5 position battles still undecided for Buffalo Bills entering Panthers game
Baylon Spector vs. Joe Giles-Harris
The Buffalo Bills are going to be without Andre Smith for the first six games of the season due to a suspension. This creates an opportunity for Baylon Spector or Joe Giles-Harris to have a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.
Baylon Spector, who was a seventh round draft pick by the Bills, has racked up the tackles through the first two games. He has led the team in both games and in total has 18 tackles. Meanwhile, Joe Giles-Harris isn’t far behind and has 11 total tackles through the two games as well as a pass defended and QB hit.
This position battle though will be decided on special teams as this is where Andre Smith has made most of his impact. The Bills will be looking to one of these two linebackers to replace that and both have gotten opportunities on special teams through the first two games with Spector playing 24 snaps and Giles-Harris playing 19 snaps.
