Bobby Hart

The final player is offensive lineman Bobby Hart, who the Buffalo Bills have brought back a number of times over the past few years. However, this training camp has been his best and he has spent plenty of time with the starters with a number of players missing practice.

When the team traded offensive lineman Cody Ford on Monday, it seemed to clear a path for Bobby Hart to make the roster. On Tuesday, general manager Brandon Beane spoke about Hart and the job he has done this summer:

"“With how Aaron Kromer has done things I think he’s done a great job of you know making him more versatile and you’ve seen him we’ve moved him in at guard. You first put him in there to see what you know can they handle it mentally and Bobby’s done great handling that. So we look at Bobby as a guy who could play up to four spots if we need him and I said it earlier versatility is big. He’s better at some spots than the other but I think Bobby has done a great job and like a lot of guys he’s fighting to make this roster.”"

While Brandon Beane wouldn’t commit to Bobby Hart making the 53-man roster on Tuesday, it would seem there is a high likelihood that will happen. As the Bills’ general manager said, he can play up to four spots with him now playing inside at guard and this is very valuable when a team is trying to figure out how to build the regular season roster.

If the Buffalo Bills hadn’t traded Cody Ford, this would have been one position battle worth watching on Friday night but with Bobby Hart the only one left on the roster between the two, the veteran offensive lineman now looks like a lock.
