Predicting the 2022 season stat leaders for the Buffalo Bills
By Adam Hayward
Buffalo Bills 2022 leader in passing yards: Josh Allen
Let’s start off with the most obvious one. Barring a season-ending injury, Josh Allen will be Buffalo’s primary signal-caller at the quarterback position. The fifth-year pro has developed nicely over the years, throwing for over 4,000 yards and 35+ touchdowns in each of the two past seasons.
With former offensive coordinator Brian Daboll taking the head coaching job with the New York Giants, there is some intrigue about how Allen will fare under new coordinator Ken Dorsey. There shouldn’t be too big of a drop-off; Dorsey has worked with Allen since 2019 as a quarterbacks coach, before receiving a promotion as passing game coordinator in 2021.
He’s been an essential part of Allen’s development, so it’s safe to say the Bills’ offense won’t miss a beat with Dorsey at the helm.
Dorsey aside, there is much to like about the Bills’ receiving weapons, outside of Stefon Diggs. Buffalo obtained two receiving threats in free agency – Jamison Crowder and O.J. Howard. Gabriel Davis’ playoff performance was a precursor of what Bills fans can expect from him in the upcoming season.
With all the weapons at his disposal, Allen won’t have much trouble having another Pro Bowl (or even MVP!) season.
