While Tre’Davious White is entering this season with some questions as he is working his way back from a torn ACL, it didn’t stop EA Sports from giving him one of the top Madden 23 ratings at cornerback.

The former All-Pro cornerback had an overall rating of 93 and his Madden 23 rating is only behind Los Angeles Rams’ cornerback Jalen Ramsey (98 overall rating) and Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (94 overall rating). White finished ahead of notable cornerbacks like Stephon Gilmore (91), Marshon Lattimore (91), and Denzel Ward (92).

EA Sports gave White some of the highest ratings among cornerbacks in terms of play recognition (95), man coverage (93), and zone coverage (97). This is not very surprising considering he is one of the best in the league in zone coverage and has the third highest in this year’s edition among cornerbacks.

Madden 23 ratings for the other Buffalo Bills cornerbacks

After Tre’Davious White, the next highest cornerback on the Buffalo Bills roster is Taron Johnson whose Madden 23 rating is an overall rating of 82. This is a fair overall rating for a player who is considered one of the best slot corners in the league. If there is one rating that is likely too low is his tackle rating of 55 as this is one of the strengths of Johnson’s game and one of the reasons he is an excellent nickel for this defense.

After Taron Johnson is Kaiir Elam whose Madden 23 rating is an overall rating of 73. For a first round rookie, this is a great starting point for the former Florida Gators corner. He is entering this season with high expectations and likely will find himself starting Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Madden 23 ratings for the rest of the cornerbacks after Elam are:

  • Dane Jackson: 67
  • Siran Neal: 67
  • Christian Benford: 65
  • Tim Harris: 64
  • Cam Lewis: 63
  • Nick McCloud: 60
