4 players on roster bubbles the Buffalo Bills should watch
The final player is Deion Jones, who is a player that the Buffalo Bills should be interested in if the Atlanta Falcons were to release him. One of the top concerns for this team should be the lack of experience behind their starting linebackers, Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano.
Deion Jones has been a very productive linebacker during his time with the Falcons and has played in 85 games and started 83 games over the past six seasons. During that stretch, he has averaged over seven tackles per game. He also has 8.5 sacks, 11 interceptions, and 44 passes defended in his career.
At this stage of his career, Deion Jones certainly could be a starting linebacker however if he were released during final roster cuts, he likely would have a tough time finding a starting job that close to the start of the season. However, the Buffalo Bills could bring him into backup Tremaine Edmunds and potentially replace him in 2023 as Edmunds is entering the final year of his contract.
If the Buffalo Bills have concerns about Tyrel Dodson or Terrel Bernard stepping in if Edmunds misses time, a veteran like Deion Jones would be an excellent backup plan and one that could step in if the need arose and play at a high level.
