4 players on roster bubbles the Buffalo Bills should watch
The Buffalo Bills should feel confident about the wide receivers they currently have on the roster. While there are some questions about whether Gabriel Davis can take that next step and who replaces Cole Beasley I believe by the end of the season this group will be in the discussion as one of the best collections of wide receivers in the league.
If there is something missing from this group it is the lack of a true deep threat, similar to what Emmanuel Sanders brought early last year or John Brown prior to that. This is why a player like Darius Slayton could make a lot of sense if he is cut by the New York Giants.
The former fifth round pick has averaged nearly 15 yards per reception and has done that with a questionable group of quarterbacks like Daniel Jones, Mike Glennon, and Colt McCoy.
The biggest concern with Slayton is that he has seen his drops steadily increase each year and last year he had six drops on only 58 targets. Jordan Raanan noted that those drops have carried over into the offseason and he had some bad drops during minicamp.
If the Buffalo Bills believe this is something that could be corrected, Slayton would be a good player to add to give this offense a deep threat at the wide receiver position.
