. . . K'Lavon Chassin. . player. 52

As Michael DiRicco wrote, it is rare for a team to give up on a player who they drafted early after only two seasons but the Jaguars have also not been afraid to make these types of moves as they did when they traded C.J. Henderson last year,

K’Lavon Chassin was a first round pick by Jacksonville in 2020 but has struggled since with only two total sacks and starting 11 games during that stretch. The addition of Travon Walker, who the Jaguars drafted first overall, could make it tougher for Chassin to get playing time in this defense.

Chassin looks like he would be a better fit in a 3-4 defense but the Buffalo Bills could add Chassin to give this defense a little more versatility. He doesn’t bring much against the run but they could look to him as a pass-rush specialist and utilize him in specific packages.

On passing downs, they could bring him on the field as an extra pass rusher and move him around to try and leverage the speed and quickness he showed at LSU to create more of a pass rush. If the Jaguars were to release him, it is worth the risk of signing Chassin as the upside is still there, and could be a great addition to this defense if he reaches that potential.
