Dane Jackson

Dane Jackson was a seventh round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2020 and after the Tre’Davious White injury midway through the season, Jackson got a chance to step in as a full-time starter. He would start the final six regular season games and both playoff games and had 37 total tackles and six passes defended during those games.

This offseason, the Bills saw Levi Wallace leave in free agency and sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers which put Dane Jackson in line to be the starter opposite Tre’Davious White. However, that quickly changed after the Bills drafted Kaiir Elam in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Bills may end up finding themselves in a situation where Jackson and Elam are forced to both start if Tre’Davious White is not fully recovered from his ACL injury. If White is able to play then this becomes a training camp battle between Jackson and Elam and it would seem like the rookie should be the favorite.
