Ranking the Buffalo Bills rookie class based on impact in 2022
James Cook
The next player on this list was drafted in the second round by the Buffalo Bills and that is running back James Cook out of the University of Georgia. The former Bulldog brings an interesting dynamic to this offense that should make it tougher for defenses to slow this group down.
Cook was one of the top pass catchers at the running back position in this year’s class and he is a player that the Buffalo Bills can move around in the formation, from running routes out of the backfield to being put in motion pre-snap and split out wide.
He should be a great compliment to Devin Singletary and the Bills could even put both players on the field at the same time.
Last year, the snap totals for Zack Moss and Matt Breida combined for just over 40% of the offensive snaps. I would imagine that Cook not only gets all those but slightly more that will get him approaching that 50% total as a rookie.
