Playing on Thanksgiving becoming an annual tradition for the Bills

Football is a big part of Thanksgiving for most and over the years the Detriot Lions and Dallas Cowboys have been the two teams that have played almost every year. The Bills don’t have the history that either of those franchises do but the Buffalo Bills will now be playing in their third Thanksgiving game in four years.

In 2019, the Buffalo Bills traveled to Dallas to face the Cowboys in a game they would win. It would also include one of the most memorable highlights of Josh Allen’s career when he would be able to pick up a fourth down and one after a second effort.

After not playing on Thanksgiving in 2020, the Bills were back in 2021 as they faced the New Orleans Saints in the primetime game. This game wasn’t really competitive and the Bills blew out the Saints 31-6 after Josh Allen threw four touchdowns.

This year, the Bills once again will be on the road as they travel to play the Detroit Lions in the first game on Thanksgiving. The hope is that they will have the same success they had the last two times they played on the holiday.
