Buffalo Bills Loser: Zack Moss

For Devin Singletary, the type of running back the Buffalo Bills drafted would sway him into being a winner or a loser. However, for Zack Moss, any running back the Buffalo Bills drafted was likely going to force him into this category.

The former third-round pick has had a rough two seasons to start his career and he hasn’t been much of a factor, to the point that he didn’t play a single snap in the AFC Divisional Round against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Buffalo Bills now have five running backs competing for likely four spots on the 53-man roster. Taiwan Jones should earn one spot due to his special teams play and Devin Singletary and James Cook are locks to make the roster.

This leaves Moss and free agent addition Duke Johnson left to compete over that final spot. I would say Johnson has probably the edge because he can backup Singletary for the early-down work or Cook as a receiving back.

It will be an uphill climb for Moss to remain with the team but with a few months before roster cutdowns, he still has a chance.
