4 players the Buffalo Bills could target if they trade up in 2022 NFL Draft
Buffalo Bills Draft Target: Jordan Davis, DT (Georgia)
One potential wild card would be defensive tackle Jordan Davis from Georgia, who had a remarkable NFL Combine. He showed incredible athleticism for his size and likely has worked his way up to the middle of the first round.
The defensive tackle position may not appear to be a position of need for the Buffalo Bills when considering they added three defensive tackles in free agency by signing DaQuan Jones, Tim Settle, and Jordan Phillips. For this season, this group along with Ed Oliver should give the defense improved performance on the interior of their defensive line.
However, there is some question marks long-term when considering all three free agents were signed to either a one or two-year contract. As for Ed Oliver, he is expected to have his fifth-year option picked up but that only keeps him in Buffalo through the 2023 season.
If the Buffalo Bills were to draft Jordan Davis, it would give them a defensive tackle that could be that run-stuffing defensive tackle for potential five years on a reasonable rookie contract. Combine this with a potential contract extension for Ed Oliver, and this position now has some stability for the foreseeable future.
