5 best trick plays by the Buffalo Bills over the past 20 years
2021: Dawson Knox completes two-point conversion against the Titans
The final trick play occurred this past season against the Tennessee Titans and is the only play on this list that didn’t result in a touchdown. The Bills were in a back and forth with the Titans for the entire game and in the closing minutes of the third quarter Josh Allen found Tommy Sweeney to put the Bills up 29-24.
However, being up only five on the scoreboard the team elected to go for two to give them a seven-point lead. The play started with Josh Allen tossing the ball to Isaiah McKenzie who would then toss it to Dawson Knox who appears to almost shovel the ball to Josh Allen to complete the conversion.
The reason the throw looked awkward, and also why it makes it even more impressive, was Knox completed the play with a broken hand, which he suffered just a few plays prior. The Bills would once again come up short and would be without Knox for a few weeks but it doesn’t take away from this one play.
