Buffalo Bills Draft Target: Jordan Davis

One player who may have had the best NFL Combine regardless of position was former University of Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis. He was well known because of his incredible size but during the Combine showed off remarkable athleticism.

According to Next Gen Stats, he set the record for broad jump (10’3″) and 40-time (4.78) for players over 320 pounds. He also had the highest athleticism score for that weight class since 2003.

The biggest concerns for Davis are centered around the fact that he didn’t show much as a pass rusher with Georgia and also how much he can actually play in the NFL. Any team that does draft him will need to likely manage his snaps.

However, for the Buffalo Bills these two concerns are minimized by the fact that they already have Ed Oliver, who does a good job rushing the passer from the interior, and they also rotate defensive linemen frequently. This would help manage the workload for Davis and allow him to do what he does best, and that is stopping the run.

It remains to be seen if he will still be available when the Bills are on the clock for their first round pick but if he is, he certainly should be in consideration.
