Buffalo Bills Free Agent Target: J.D. McKissic

If the Buffalo Bills believe that Devin Singletary can be that primary running back, then they should turn their focus to a player who primarily is a pass catcher. In the past few seasons, there hasn’t been one better than Washington’s J.D. McKissic.

In the two years, he was with Washington the one year prior to that with the Detroit Lions, McKissic had 157 receptions, 1,219 receiving yards, and five receiving touchdowns. He has been able to do this while playing only about 50% of the offensive snaps during that stretch.

While Devin Singletary has shown he can be a pass catcher, this is not necessarily his strength. The Bills also got an idea of what this offense could look like with an above-average pass-catching running back in the few games in the middle of the season when Matt Breida was a part of this offense.

Similar to Fournette, J.D. McKissic has shown he is very good at what he does and could get a sizable contract this offseason. The Bills may be looking for a bargain here and this could be the challenge in adding a player like this.
