Is Dawson Knox the answer at tight end?

Another question the Buffalo Bills had was at the tight end position and whether or not Dawson Knox could take that next step in his career. The Bills drafted the former Ole Miss tight end in the third round in the 2019 NFL Draft due in large part to his physical attributes but knew he might need some time to develop.

In his first two seasons in the league, Knox was inconsistent and this year was going to be pivotal. The thought was that Buffalo couldn’t afford another year of what Dawson Knox has shown and they should bring in a veteran to complement Knox or even push him for the starting job.

The Buffalo Bills decided that wasn’t needed and it paid dividends as Dawson Knox would finish the year tied for the league lead for tight ends in receiving touchdowns with 11. He started off the year very well but then suffered a broken hand against the Tennessee Titans.

That injury seemed to slow him down but as the season went along he bounced back and had two touchdown receptions in the playoff game against the New England Patriots. The Bills may add a tight end this offseason but the focus is no longer on finding a starter.
