Round 3 (91st overall) – James Cook, RB (Georgia)

The running back position is not one that seems as big of a need as it did earlier in the season with the emergence of Devin Singletary. However, the Bills are likely going to need to consider adding to the position since Singletary is entering the final year of his contract next year

In the third round, the Buffalo Bills stay on the offensive side of the ball and select Georgia running back James Cook. He is the younger brother of Dalvin Cook but wouldn’t necessarily bring the same skillset to this offense.

James Cook is more of a pass-catching running back and likely wouldn’t become the three-down running back that his brother is. However, he certainly could be valuable in this offense, especially paired with Singletary.

This past season with the Bulldogs was his biggest workload as he had 113 rushing attempts, 728 rushing yards, 27 receptions, 284 receiving yards, and 11 total touchdowns. If the Bills were to lose Isaiah McKenzie, Cook could bring some versatility to the offense as he has experience also lining up at wide receiver.
