Dawson Knox sets franchise record in receiving touchdowns

The Buffalo Bills starting tight end has had a breakout year and has played the way many hoped he would when they selected him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. This season, Knox has 31 receptions, 415 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns.

Those receiving touchdowns are already good enough to set the franchise record for tight ends, which was previously held by Scott Chandler, Jay Riemersma, and Pete Metzelaars who were tied at six.

However, I believe Knox will go one step further and set the franchise record for receiving touchdowns in a season, regardless of position. That record is currently held by wide receiver Bill Brooks, who had 11 receiving touchdowns in the 1995 season.

For Knox to break this record, it means he would need five touchdowns in the final six games. When considering he has had seven receiving touchdowns in nine games this year, this is a pace that I believe he will be able to meet down the stretch of the regular season.
