CBS Sports: Buffalo Bills one spot behind the Arizona Cardinals

Current Week’s Ranking: 2

Last Week’s Ranking: 4

Pete Prisco moved the Bills up two spots from fourth to second but the win over the Chiefs wasn’t enough to move them past the Arizona Cardinals. This isn’t necessarily surprising as the Cardinals are the final undefeated team this year in the NFL.

"That victory at Kansas City sends a big message to the rest of the AFC. They showed that defense is legitimate and Josh Allen can light it up."

The play by the defense was overshadowed by Josh Allen’s performance but they certainly deserve credit. The Bills held the Chiefs to only 20 points, which was a season-low and forced three turnovers with two interceptions and a fumble recovery.

This was exactly the type of game plan and performance general manager Brandon Beane and the Bills envisioned in the offseason when they focused on the defensive line. They were able to get regular pressure with their front four and made life for Patrick Mahomes difficult.
