Cody Ford

Another player who has seen his role diminish over the course of the season is Cody Ford. The former second round pick began the year as the starting right guard for the Bills but before their Week 4 matchup with the Texans, the coaching staff made a change. They moved Spencer Brown into the starting lineup at right tackle and slid Daryl Williams inside at right guard, which forced Ford to the bench.

The reason that I have included Cody Ford is that he probably would bring back the greatest return of the players in this article. He has starting experience at both right tackle and guard and that versatility is valuable.

In addition, he still is on his rookie contract through the 2022 season so a team wouldn’t necessarily be taking on a large contract or big salary. That would only help the Bills when discussing compensation in a trade.

In the end, the Buffalo Bills don’t need to trade Cody Ford and likely wouldn’t be actively searching for a trade partner. However, this is one of those situations that they would at least entertain the idea and if the price was right, they could make a move.
