QB Josh Allen vs. QB Tua Tagovailoa

These players won’t be lined up against each other on Sunday, but both will be monitored closely after underwhelming Week 1 performances.

Bills fans that were waiting for Josh Allen to pick up where he left off in 2020 were disappointed in Week 1. The gunslinger completed 30 of his career-high 51 pass attempts for just 270 yards and a touchdown while also adding 44 yards on the ground. He was sacked three times by the ferocious Steelers pass rush and never looked comfortable in the contest.

For Dolphins fans expecting Tua Tagovailoa to come out looking stronger in his second season, Week 1’s effort wasn’t anything to get excited about. The 2020 fifth-overall pick completed 16 of his 27 attempts for 202 yards, one passing touchdown, one rushing touchdown, one interception, and two sacks. It was another mediocre outing, albeit against a solid Patriots defense.

Both these passers have something to prove in Week 2, and whoever has the better outing will not only silence the critics but likely earn his team a win.
