RT Jesse Davis vs. DE Jerry Hughes

Veteran right tackle Jesse Davis is responsible for blocking the lefty Tagovailoa’s blindside, and he had mixed results doing so in Week 1.

A better run-blocker than pass-blocker, Davis struggled to keep the pocket clean for Tagovailoa, although he was able to create solid rushing lanes for Myles Gaskin and the rushing game.

The 30-year-old will have his hands full in Week 2 as both Jerry Hughes and Gregory Rousseau look to wreak havoc in the Miami backfield.

Both left ends had fairly underwhelming performances in Week 1 despite doing battle against a Steelers offensive line that had four new starters on it. On 33 snaps, Hughes tallied two QB pressures while Rousseau mustered just one on 30 snaps.

If Buffalo’s veteran and rookie defensive linemen can give Davis fits, it’ll slow down a Dolphins’ passing attack that’ll also be without speedy wideout Will Fuller this Sunday. If Hughes and Rousseau struggle again to make game-breaking plays, Tagovailoa, like Ben Roethlisberger in Week 1, may have time to do just enough to saddle the Buffalo Bills with a loss for the second-straight week.
