In-game adjustments for the defense

While the Pittsburgh Steelers have a new running back in Najee Harris, who was drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the other players have been with the team for a few years like long time quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and his trio of wide receivers in Juju Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, and Chase Claypool.

However, just because they have mostly the same players doesn’t mean the Bills can expect the same offense. In fact, they have a new offensive coordinator in Matt Canada which creates challenges for the Bills.

Earlier this week, defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier was asked about the new offensive coordinator and said while they are trying to gather info, there are going to be some things they haven’t seen. This is going to force the coaching staff and the players to make in-game adjustments to account for this.

Matt Canada was named offensive coordinator this offseason after being the quarterback coach last year. He replaces Randy Fichtner, who had been in the role for the prior two seasons. How effective the Bills are in terms of making these adjustments, could be the deciding factor in this game.
