Josh Allen wins MVP

Some may not call this one bold, but considering the competition involved for the award, it is not a given that Josh Allen wins Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2021.

Allen was the runner-up for the award in 2020, finishing only behind Aaron Rodgers. Allen even beat out Patrick Mahomes in MVP voting.

Allen made an astronomical jump from 2019 to 2020. In 2019, Allen completed 58.8% of his passes for 3,089 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. In 2020, those numbers jumped to 69.2%, 4,544 yards, 37 touchdowns, and ten interceptions.

If Allen’s 2021 numbers are anywhere near his 2020 numbers, he will be an MVP front runner yet again.

He has some serious competition yet again, however. The likes of reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and potentially other new challengers will be competing for the award alongside him.

Josh Allen has a similar supporter cast to the one he had a year ago, only replacing John Brown with Emmanuel Sanders.

Given the stability of the team around him, there is no reason that Allen should not be able to produce the numbers that he did in 2020. It is likely that he does put up those same numbers and ultimately wins MVP in the process.
