Tight End: Jacob Hollister

With incumbent starter Dawson Knox continuing to struggle with drops we have seen impressive performances from other members of the Bills tight end room in each of the last 2 weeks. On Saturday it was Jacob Hollister’s turn to show what he can do and he was very impressive.

Hollister was targeted 3 times which he turned into 3 catches for 53 yards, including a 26-yard catch and run. Hollister also flashed his red-zone ability when he caught a 2 point conversion early in the second quarter. While Hollister hasn’t had a flashy career so far he has a career catch percentage of 64.3% compared to Dawson Knox’s 55.3% catch rate and is darkhorse to steal a starting role.

Offensive Line: Spencer Brown

Teammate Dion Dawkins was very complimentary of Brown after Saturday’s game describing him as fearless and saying “he has the swagger” and it’s easy to see why. Despite being matched up with a tough Bears front including elite pass rusher Khalil Mack, Brown held his own at right tackle.

Brown is starting to look more comfortable as a pass blocker, and even moved over to play some left tackle after Dion Dawkins day was over. Brown’s standout day was cut short early when he suffered a knee injury, but his performance against one of the game’s best players won’t be something that this coaching staff will forget anytime soon.
