Davis Webb

While Jake Fromm was on the field for the final drive and led the offense to get in position for the game-winning field goal, there is a case to be made that Davis Webb was the best quarterback for the Buffalo Bills against the Detroit Lions.

The former 2017 third round pick came in after Mitchell Trubisky in the first half and looked very comfortable running this offense. He finished the game going 11 for 16 for 90 yards and one passing touchdown finding Devin Singletary out in the flat for a six-yard touchdown.

When looking at the two quarterbacks, Webb and Fromm, competing for that third QB spot it was apparent that Webb is a better fit for this team. One of the big reasons is that Webb brings mobility to the position, similar to Josh Allen, that Fromm doesn’t have. In the game against the Lions, Webb had two rushing attempts for 26 yards.

If the Buffalo Bills keep three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster, that third spot should go to Davis Webb.
