Harrison Phillips

Another player who was lower on the depth chart than expected was defensive tackle Harrison Phillips. The former third round pick struggled last year but was coming off a torn ACL in 2019.

He appeared to get closer to full strength at the end of the season and was playing better. The expectation was that Phillips could carry that over into the offseason and training camp. However, he has been passed on the depth chart by Justin Zimmer.

Considering that he is entering the final year of his rookie contract, he could be another player that is fighting for a roster spot. However, if he is able to show some consistency, especially against the run, he could find himself as a backup and a key part of the rotation at defensive tackle this season.
