Buffalo Bills: Predicting the 2021 All-AFC East offense
Wide Receiver 1: Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills
Like his quarterback, Stefon Diggs launched himself into superstar status in 2020 when he led the league in both receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535). It was a career year for a player who had already established himself as one of the best in the game during his time with the Minnesota Vikings.
Entering season two in Buffalo, there’s ample reason to believe the wideout can achieve similar success.
Wide Receiver 2: Will Fuller V, Miami Dolphins
One of the moves the Dolphins made this offseason to bolster their wide receiver room was signing Will Fuller V in free agency. The former Houston Texans star was known for two things during his tenure with the team: Making big plays and missing time.
When on the field, Fuller V is an explosive play waiting to happen. In 2020, he averaged a gaudy 16.6-yards-per-reception on 53 grabs which translated into 873 yards and eight touchdowns. Unfortunately for the 27-year-old, however, he was suspended for the final five games of the season for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy and he’ll miss Week 1 with Miami.
Injuries have also plagued Fuller V, as he hasn’t played more than 11 games in any of his past four seasons.
Wide Receiver 3: Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills
Cole Beasley slides into the third wide receiver spot after putting together a very solid 2020 campaign. The shifty receiver earned second-team All-Pro honors last year after hauling in 82 receptions for 967 yards and four touchdowns. He emerged as the clear No. 2 option for Allen, and that’ll likely remain the same in 2021.
