The greatest Buffalo Bills players to don 31-50
The greatest Buffalo Bills player to wear #41:
Just like Jamie Mueller (#39) listed earlier, the number 41 uniform didn’t have anyone make a strong claim. Call it cursed, jinxed or whatever you will, the best the Buffalo Bills have ever had at that spot was Alvin Wyatt. Wyatt was originally a 6th-round selection out of Bethune-Cookman by the Oakland Raiders in 1970.
Wyatt joined the team in 1971 and contributed most notably on special teams. Wyatt would return his way to over 1500 all-purpose yards on both kickoff and punt returns. Wyatt also added in five interceptions in his two short years in Buffalo.
An honorable mention for another great football name is Robert “Speedy” Neal who spent his only season in 1984 with Buffalo. As for our runner-up, Bill Enyart comes in second. Enyart was an RB-LB two-way player who had over 800 yards of total offense.
Wyatt returned to his Alma mater and helped place B-C back on the map. Wyatt was known for his attention-grabbing attire as he coached from the sidelines.
